WE HAVE CONSIDERED THIS A BRIGHTENING CHANCE TO TENDER OUR CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE WITH SINCERE MINDSETS, THE NANS SENATE PRESIDENT TELLS THE NEW OAU VC

Oyejide Salam

Upon receiving the news about the appointment of Professor EYITAYO Ogunbodede as the new Vice Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Osun State, the NANS Senate President, Comrade SALAM Oyejide has considered himself dutifully challenged to tender a congratulatory message on behalf of all Nigerian students under the umbrella of NANS as the largest student body in the country.

Comrade SALAM Oyejide, in a press statement issued yesterday, clearly mentioned that he would have preferred his congratulatory message revolve rounds the commonest phrase “Congratulations sir”, but the need to rather render it voluminous as become automatically paramount and tantamount to the development of the university status quo.

“We have considered this a brightening chance to tender our congratulatory message with sincere mindsets; in fact purified mindsets. As postulated above, we would have also gained solace and full comfort in allowing it starts and ends with the phrase, but the sincerity we had pledged Nigerian students would be missing if some words are not written in this congratulatory note to complement that commonest phrase.” SALAM Oyejide asserted.

He however used that fundamental opportunity to persuade the new VC to prioritize the welfares of both the students and staff, as the existence of the institution which he is about to be leading depends largely on their effectiveness, efficiency and productivity.

He however stated his optimistic view that this administration as he envisaged will “foster peace, harmony and unity within the university community as usual, and provide a more conducive environment that would motivate workers to deliver to the best of their capabilities; environment that would make teaching and learning pedagogically interesting”.
